Wallis and Futuna Islands

This nation is composed of three major islands and twenty islets[1]. The inhabitants voted to become a French overseas territory and officially gained this status in July of 1961[2]. 80% of the labor force on the islands comes from agricultural work (coconuts and vegetables), livestock (mostly pigs), and fishing[3]. France directly finances the public sector, health and education services, while also funding key economic infrastructure projects[4]. Let’s Pray…

-Father, we come before your throne and pray on behalf of Wallis and Futuna Islands. Father, we pray that your Holy Spirit would press forward your agenda on the islands, and that each Christian could seek after your heart with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind. God, we pray for the individual plans for each member of this nation to be walked out in Jesus name. Yeshua, just as your disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, we pray for this same infilling of the Holy Spirit upon your believers on the islands. Let your Holy Spirit be poured out from Heaven onto each household, and may your gift of tongues rest upon the souls of each believer.*

-Father, we pray that you would bless the agriculture, livestock, and fishing industries. Father, we pray for the protection of any exploited workers in the fishing industries, and we ask for your angels to walk with them in protection and grace. God, we thank you for the provision that the nation of France has provided for this territory, and we ask that you would pour back into France a blessing from your Holy Spirit. Amen.
