Our world’s greatest challenge as followers of Christ is the practice of abortion in our world. According to the World Health Organization, approximately 73 million induced abortions take place annually[1]. That is almost 200,000 lives lost daily. As we will pray in Psalm 139 below, God has not only formed each human being and ordained it for life, but God has ordained specific plans for each child and abortion has deprived them of this life on earth. For parents who have made the decision to abort a child in the past, know that healing can be found in the Lord Jesus Christ (and we will have a separate prayer below for this). Let us embrace the heart of God on this issue, and pray passionately for life. Let’s Pray…

-Father, we believe that you created our inmost being; you knit us together in our mother’s womb. We praise you because we are fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, we know that full well. Our frame was not hidden from you when we were made in the secret place, when we were woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw our unformed body; all the days ordained for us were written in your book before one of them came to be.* Father in heaven, we ordain that this truth would penetrate all sectors of society in every nation, city, village, and community. Holy Spirit, we pray that you would reveal your truth and that you would rewrite the mindsets of those misled by the enemy of God. Holy Spirit, we ordain your truth to pour out onto all corners of the earth.

-Father, we pray for those in our community and those afar who are considering abortion for their baby. Yeshua, we pray for the mother and father and ask for your Holy Spirt to minister to them. Holy Spirit, help them to recognize, love, and respect the personhood of their unborn child. Yahweh, we pray for these mothers and we ask that you grant them the courage needed to carry and deliver these babies. If the mother and/or father are to raise this child, we pray for your grace and provision for the necessities of raising this child. We ask that these parent(s) would know you and raise these children through the lead of the Holy Spirit. If it is a family member or friend or external person, we pray for your spirit to go with them and lead these individuals to know you Yeshua and to also be led by your Holy Spirit in the ways they are to raise these children. God, let your will for these children’s lives be lived out and bring glory to their creator Yahweh.  We pray for Godly support systems for these families and that these children would be raised in the ways of the Lord, so that when they are old, they will not depart from your commandments Yahweh.

-Holy Spirit, we pray for your leadership over adoption agencies and ask that you would place these children whom you love into loving homes who will lead them into your plans Lord. We pray for supernatural provision for these families to meet all their financial needs in the adoption process and as they raise their children. 

-Father, we pray against the spirit of abortion in our communities and throughout our nations. Holy Spirit, we ask that you would break down and defeat the intellectual wisdom that helps people support abortion. Holy Spirit, reveal your truth of Psalm 139 to the world that they may understand our Godly design. We pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all people, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions.** Father, let the truth of your word replace the false doctrines of mankind. 

-God, we pray for pro-life ideologies to be poured out upon city officials, government officials, and those in leadership over cities and nations. Father, use whatever means necessary to reveal truth to these leaders and rewrite false ideologies in their minds. Father, let these Holy Spirit led truths rewrite their work, and lead through them a love for life. Help them to press forward your agenda Holy Spirit.   

-God, we pray for the pro-life supports throughout communities and nations and ask first that they would know you with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind. We pray that they have received the blood of Yeshua over their lives. We pray for a spiritual equipping to defend and stand as protectors of the unborn. Yeshua, we pray for each Christian to stand firm and be equipped with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, for their feet to be fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, for their shield of faith, their helmet of salvation, and their sword of the spirit-the word of God. Finally, let these believers pray in the Holy Spirit on all occasions.*** 

-God, we pray for every medical personnel and every individual who is involved with abortion procedures. We pray for a removal of the spirit of death around them, and that you would open their eyes and ears to the life that you have knitted together in these wombs.  Open their eyes and ears to your creation that has been ordained life on earth. Elohim, Let your word be like fire, my Lord, and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces.**** God, let your word of truth convict the minds and hearts of every medical personnel and every individual on earth who is involved in abortion procedures. God, we pray for each individual to hear your truth about life and repent from their sins. We pray that they would receive you Yeshua into their heart and leave behind the practice of abortion. 

-Father, we pray for the women who have chosen to abort a child and for the fathers who have consented to abortion. God, we pray that they would bring this burden to your cross, and receive your blood that washes over their sins. Help them to receive healing in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach. After this healing has been released, we pray for the voice of the enemy to be silenced in Jesus’ name. Father, we pray that your church would be a central component to this healing process. Help your church be equipped and aligned with hearts like yours Yeshua that can lovingly minster to mothers and fathers of aborted children.              

-God, we repent on behalf of our nations in regards to the sins of abortion. Father, we ask for your truth to change hearts, to change thought processes, and to close abortion clinics and lead truth unto the nations around us. Let us truly repent of our past, and turn our eyes towards you Yahweh. Father, help us to love you with all our heart, all our soul, all our strength, and all our mind, Amen.*****
