Venezuela

The economy of Venezuela is highly dependent on oil revenues, which constructs half of the government’s revenue[1]. In 2014 when the oil prices fell, it had a significant impact on the revenue. Other concerns include a highly politicized military, rampant violent crime, high inflation, and widespread shortages on basic consumer goods, medicine, and medical supplies[2]. Venezuela is also a destination country for men, women, and children who are trafficked for the use of sexual exploitation and forced labor[3]. Women are subjected to forced prostitution in urban and tourist areas[4]. Let’s bring these concerns before our Father in Heaven.

-Jesus, we lift up your church in Venezuela. We pray for a spiritual awakening through the power of the Holy Spirit in this nation. We pray for hearts to live repentant lives through the blood of Jesus Christ. We pray for these individuals to be overflowing with your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Father, help them to work in mighty ways for your kingdom in Venezuela, that your Christians would go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. That your followers would teach the new disciples to obey everything that you Jesus have commanded. Let the fear of the Lord reign through the streets of Venezuela.*

-Father, we lift up the military to you and ask that your people who know you Yeshua would be pressed into leadership. God, use your leaders to transform this military towards the plans you have for it. God, we lift up the violence and crime and we pray for peace. Help violence be combatted by your fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.** Father, we pray over the shortage of consumer goods, medicine, and medical supplies. As this nation places their trust in you, we pray that you Father would meet their needs.

-Father, we lift up the captive in the nation of Venezuela. God, you see all the injustice in this nation and we pray that Jesus’ blood would bring justice to this nation. God, bind the enemy and bring your justice to Venezuela. Father, we pray that you would defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; that you would maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Father rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.*** We pray for angelic assignments to be placed over any victim or potential victim in Venezuela. Help your captives come to know your love Jesus. We pray for freedom over the captives of this nation. We pray for emotional, mental, and physical healing over the captives of this nation. Father, we pray that traffickers would hear your voice Holy Spirit and that they would turn from their ways. Jesus, bring an end to human trafficking in Venezuela-thank you Jesus!

-God we lift up the 11 million who live in poverty in this nation. We pray that those who are poor in the eyes of this world would be rich in faith and inherit the kingdom that you God promised to those who love you.**** We lift up the refugees from Columbia and the stateless population and everyone living in poverty, and we pray that you Father would help meet their needs of shelter, food, clothing, education, and healthy community. We pray that your church would surround these communities with love.

-Father, we pray against the illegal drug production of this nation and we pray that you Holy Spirit would convict the guilty of their sins.  Help them to repent from their ways and we pray for income to be provided through another means. We also pray for angelic assignments to be placed over the ports of this nation that no drugs would transit through this nation. Thank you Jesus.

-Father, we pray against any false religions working against the power of the Holy Spirit and the work of the church. Father, we pray for grace to be released by the Holy Spirit so people can recognize their sins and repent accordingly. Help these people caught in demonic strongholds repent in your name Jesus. For we are convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.*****
