Uruguay

The nation of Uruguay has a well-established economy with a highly educated workforce[1]. While the unemployment rate is low, the population living below the poverty line is 18%[2]. This nation is also a source and transit country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of sexual exploitation and forced labor[3]. Additionally, let’s focus our prayers on the church and upon the government and the direction they are leading the nation of Uruguay. Let’s Pray…

-Jesus, we ask for the renewal of faith of believers who worship your name. Jesus, send your Holy Spirit to renew these congregations and use them for your glory. Just as your disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, we pray for this same infilling of the Holy Spirit upon your believers in Uruguay. Let your Holy Spirit be poured out from Heaven onto each household, and may your gift of tongues rest upon the souls of each believer.*

-We lift up the youth and children of this generation. Father we pray that parents would train children in the way they should go, so that when they are old they will not turn from it. We pray for those in poverty and that you God would secure justice for the poor and uphold the cause of the needy. Lord Jesus, we pray for powerful Christian mentors for the next generation of Christian leaders. Thank you Jesus!**

-God, we pray for those who do not know you Yahweh. Father, we pray for your mercy to extend over this population and infiltrate their hearts with your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.*** Help them to repent of their sins through the blood of Jesus Christ and enter into the family of God. Help them to find authentic community where they can grow alongside other believers. Thank you Jesus.

-God, we pray for a greater desire for healthy living for the people of Uruguay. We pray for a change in food eating habits and exercise. Help individuals adjust their diet to the designs and needs of their bodies.

-Father, we pray for the government leaders in Uruguay. We pray that they would establish a personal relationship with you God where they seek to love you with all their heart, soul, and strength.**** Father, we pray that you would lead through them to dictate change that needs to take place in this nation. Thank you Jesus.

-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking business in Uruguay. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor. We pray for healing, restoration, and freedom over those held captive and those transported to various countries. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration. We pray that the victims would have the opportunity to be reunited with their families or that you would create new communities for them centered in Christ. Thank you Jesus.

-We also pray for angelic assignments to be placed over the ports within this nation, and that it will not be used as a transshipment point for illegal drugs. We pray for conviction from the Holy Spirit over the corruption within the law enforcement, and we pray for healing over those addicted to illegal drugs. Yeshua, we pray that they could find healing. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
