Tuvalu
Tuvalu is a nation composed of nine coral atolls in the South Pacific Ocean, with about 50% of the population residing on the atoll of Funafuti[1]. Currently, there is high concern over the increase in global greenhouse gas emissions raising the sea level which threatens the country’s underground water table which could also make the islands uninhabitable[2]. The economy is heavily dependent on imports including food and fuel, while 45% of their GDP comes from the sale of fishing licenses[3]. The poverty rate remains at 25% and obesity rate is at 50%[4]. Let’s Pray…
-Father, we thank you for each person on each atoll in Tuvalu. God we pray that your church in Tuvalu would represent a bride worthy to stand with King Jesus, and that your church would stand united throughout each atoll. Father, we pray for each Christian to stand firm and be equipped with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, for their feet to be fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, for their shield of faith, their helmet of salvation, and their sword of the spirit, the word of God. Finally, let these believers pray in the Holy Spirit on all occasions. Yeshua, let your bride be covered in your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Thank you God for your grace over Tuvalu.*
-God, we lift up the rising water levels and the underground water table. Elohim, we lift this situation into your hands and we ask for your mercy and grace.
-Father, we lift up the health and wellness of each Tuvaluan on the island. We pray for healthy lifestyles and healthy mindsets. We pray that those who are poor in the eyes of this world would be rich in faith and inherit the kingdom that you God promised to those who love you.** God, we pray over the fishing industry and ask for your blessings over individuals and businesses. Father, we pay a blessing over the economy and we ask that you would provide for all the needs of the people in this nation.
-To the nation of Tuvalu, we pray the Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.*** Amen.
