Tunisia is a small, mountainous nation sandwiched between the Islamic countries of Algeria and Libya. In January of 2011, the government was overthrown and persecution towards the small body of Christians has increased. While converting to Christianity is legal, converts face pressure from their family and community, while the government continues to imprisons people for their speech deemed blasphemous or offensive[1]. Tunisia is a source, destination, and possible transit country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and commercial sexual exploitation[2]. Let’s Pray…

-God, we lift up your Christian body in Tunisia. Lord Jesus, we pray for your angels to assist and protect your Christian Tunisians. We pray for a full equipping of your armor and an infilling of your fruits that they might display the holiness of Christ by their walk with you, winning over the hearts of the lost. We pray for missionaries to be blessed with the ease of learning Arabic, and that you would give them the skills to relate to the Islamic population who needs to know Christ! Father, we pray that your word would fall on good soil, producing a crop a hundred fold of what was sown.    

-We pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all people in Tunisia, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions. May the scales fall from their eyes that they would see you Jesus, and that they would commit their lives to you-king of glory. Yeshua, help all those washed in your blood to develop a relationship with God where they seek to love him with all their heart, soul, and strength.*   

-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking business in Tunisia. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor in Tunisia. We pray for healing and restoration over those held captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration. 

-Father, as this nation continues to respond to the calling of the Holy Spirit, we pray for increased favor and blessing over their economy, including the exports, investments, and tourism sectors. Let the favor of the Lord lead them into a deeper dependency of you God.  Amen.
