The economy on the islands of Trinidad & Tobago have one of the highest per capita incomes in Latin America and the Caribbean due to the oil and gas sectors[1]. But the government has areas of growth in regards to reducing crime and violence, creating necessary changes to their political and legal system, and reducing the negative influence of gangs, drugs, and weapons[2]. Finally, this nation is a destination, transit, and possibly source nation for adults and children subject to sex trafficking and forced labor[3]. Let’s Pray…

-Just as your disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, we pray for this same infilling of the Holy Spirit upon your believers in Trinidad & Tobago. Let your Holy Spirit be poured out from Heaven onto each household, and may your gift of tongues rest upon the souls of each believer.*  Holy Spirit, use this nation to live out the plans you have for them individually and collectively.   

-God of peace, we call for your peace Jesus to infiltrate this nation through your communities who know you. Father, help display your peace where anger, violence, and corruption prevail. Father, let peace overcome areas where anger, violence, and corruption prevail.  Yeshua, we pray that you would release your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in these areas.** We pray for the restoration of healthy relationships and for salvation for those who do not know you. We pray for the repentance of sins and the acceptance of your blood to cover their sins Jesus. Help the lost to know what Godly community looks like and help them to enter into these healthy communities. We pray for peace on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago and we pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. 

-God, we pray for the political leaders and the political system on the islands. We pray for a simplified legal system and for politicians to be led by your spirit to move into the change that is necessary for this nation. 

-For the ports of Trinidad & Tobago to be kept holy in the name of Jesus. Let the people allow no drugs to settle on their ports. Let the ships dump their cargo seeking the holiness of the Lord. Bring them to repentance in the name of Jesus Christ.

-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking rings in Trinidad and Tobago. We pray for an angelic presence over the borders of this nation guiding the incoming victims towards a safe home and safe community. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor. We pray for healing, restoration, and freedom over those held captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration. 

-Over the environmental issues on these islands including water pollution, oil pollution on your beaches, deforestation, and soil erosion.  Lord Jesus, we pray for restoration to your environment in Trinidad and Tobago. Thank you Jesus!
