The Kingdom of Tonga consists of 171 islands, of which 45 of these territories are being inhabited[1]. Around two-thirds of the population lives on the island of Tongatapu[2]. The kingdom of Tonga is the last remaining constitutional monarchy in the pacific islands region[3]. The economy is centered on a few agricultural crops including yams, vanilla beans, and squash, while agricultural exports including fish compose two-thirds of their total exports[4]. (1.15.22) On this day, the Kingdom of Tonga suffered from a massive volcanic explosion, impacting most of the residents in Tonga. Let’s Pray…      

-Elohim, creator of all we know, we humbly come before your throne on behalf of the nation of Tonga. We pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all people, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions. Yeshua, release your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control upon every island. Father, we pray for Christians to be crucified with Christ and no longer live, yet let Christ live in them. Let the life they live in the body be lived by faith in the son of God, who loves us and gave himself for us.*

-God, we lift up this time of rebuilding, and we pray for your mercy to cover this nation. Father, we pray for provision and protection as they rebuild. We pray that ears would hear and hearts would be opened as they hear the voice of the Holy Spirit during this challenging season. Thank you Jesus.

-Holy Spirit, help expose the doctrinal flaws of the Mormon Church. God, we lift up the LDS Church and pray for your truth and your scriptures to shine out. Yeshua, reveal yourself in this place that thousands would know you Jesus by the word of God. Let all other false doctrines fall away in Jesus name. Father, help the body of Christ emerge in purity of doctrine on the islands in Tonga. 

-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we pray a blessing over the entire economy including the yams, squash, vanilla beans, and fishing industries. We pray for a prosperous economy that can meet the needs of all the people on the islands. We pray for the island of Tongatapu and we pray for wisdom and grace over their leadership. Help them to press forward a dynamic economy with additional opportunities to meet individual’s livelihood.

-Father, we pray that you would defend the cause of the weak and fatherless in Tonga; that you would maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Father rescue the weak and needy on the islands; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.** Yeshua, we pray for any victims of human trafficking on the islands. Father, let your righteousness and justice press forth, and may your angels be given assignments of protection over victims and potential victims throughout the islands. We press forward in your grace and ask for mental, emotional, and physical healing over the captives through the blood of your son Yeshua. We ask that the captive would hear your word and accept your saving grace Jesus. Help the victims enter into healing and life breathing communities. Holy Spirit, we ask that you would convict the guilty of their sins and lead them to repentance, salvation, and the plans you have for them. Amen.
