Togo
Togo is located in the Northwestern region of Africa, a region heavily populated with Islamic believers. About 20% of Togolese are Muslim (1.4 million)[1]. While Togo’s economy is steadily on the increase, over half the population live in poverty (55%)[2]. The development of new jobs and the improvement of educational systems remain two key prayer points for this nation. Additionally, Women and Children are trafficked in Togo for the purposes of sex trafficking and forced labor[3]. Togo also serves as a transit hub for illegal drugs[4]. Finally, Togo also serves as home to nearly 10,000 refugees from Ghana. Let’s Pray…
-Holy Spirit, we lift up the nation of Togo to you. Holy Spirit, may you flood the streets of Togo, that every man, woman, and child would have the opportunity to interact with our Trinitarian God: Yahweh, Yeshua, and Holy Spirit. Let the name of Yeshua be known in every household. Let your churches continue to be equipped as faithful brides who follow the lead of the Holy Spirit. We ask for an overflowing of your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control over every church in Togo.* Thank you Jesus.
-God we lift up those who do not know you Jesus. Jesus, let your Holy Spirit break the spiritual bondage that may hold one back from coming to know you. Let them call upon the name of Jesus to receive salvation today. Let the roots of Islam decrease, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit increase-in Jesus name we pray.
-God, we pray for the basic needs of food, water, clothing, and shelter. Lord Jesus, we pray that you would receive the glory due your name as you provide for your creation.
-Father, we pray for continued economic blessing over this nation and the creation of new jobs. We also pray for a blessing over the educational system, and we ask for greater resources, smaller classroom sizes, and environments where students can learn successfully.
-Father, we pray against prostitution and human trafficking in Togo. Lord Jesus, we pray for your freedom for every captive soul in Togo. Lord Jesus, we pray for mental, emotional, and physical healing, and that your blood would bring restoration through the name of Jesus Christ we pray!
-Yeshua, we lift up the transit hubs in Togo and we pray for a dismantling of these transit hubs in Jesus name. We pray that no drugs would come through their borders. Thank you God!
-We pray for the Ghanaian refugees in Togo. We pray for provision for these refugees, and for healthy communities. We pray for the church to be heavily involved in supporting and loving these communities. We ask that they would thrive in their new home, and pray that each would recognize Yeshua as their Lord and Savior. Amen.
