Sweden’s economy is thriving due to free market capitalism alongside an extensive welfare benefits system[1]. Sweden currently serves as a home to over 225,000 refugees and internally displaced persons[2]. Finally, Sweden is a destination and transit country for women trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation, while women and girls are also subject to forced begging[3]. Let’s Pray…

-God, we lift up the nation of Sweden into your hands. You know every inch of the land, and you know the journeys of every Swedish and every individual living in this nation. God, let these people live in the fear of the Lord. God, help these people be still and know that you are God. That you will be exalted among the nations, that you will be exalted in the earth.* We pray for these people to continue to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit in regards to sin and righteousness. Help them to understand and embrace a lifestyle of repentance through the blood of our Savior Jesus Christ. Help them to understand the divinity of your name. Remove the scales from their eyes and open their hearts so they may receive the fullness of your glory. 

-God, we thank you for the work of your women and men in the church. Continue to help Christian communities do life together in supporting one another and growing together in relationship with you God. We pray a continued blessing over all ministries in Sweden. May the God of hope fill these individuals with all joy and peace as they trust in you, so that they may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.** Raise up transformational leaders that they may rekindle the fire in lukewarm Christians. Help your leaders continue to be refined in your everlasting fire Jesus. 

-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking business in Sweden. We pray for an angelic presence over the borders of this nation guiding the incoming victims towards a safe home and safe community. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor in Sweden. We pray for healing, restoration, and freedom over those held captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration. 

-God, we lift up the refugees and IDP’s in Sweden. Jesus, we pray for your protection and grace to fill these communities. God, we pray that Christians would love these communities and teach them about your grace. God we pray for the provision of food, water, shelter, school, and every other need to be met for your children. Help these communities to know your love and to embrace your salvation Jesus. Amen.
