Since its independence from Dutch Rule in 1975, the government has lacked stability and direction. The nation suffers from deforestation and drug trafficking[1]. The nation is also a source, transit, and destination country for women and children subjected to sex trafficking and men, women, and children subjected to forced labor[2]. One additional prayer request is for the large Hindu population, which comprises 27% of the population[3]. We pray for...

-The government leaders to know and love you God with all their heart, soul, and strength.* Lead through them so your will can be done in Suriname. 

-Deforestation in Suriname. We pray for the protection of your rainforests and your creation in Suriname. Lord Jesus, we pray that trees would grow quickly and that your rainforests would flourish in areas where they have been depleted. 

-Those involved in drug trafficking, and ask for a shaking by the Holy Spirit. That you Holy Spirit would break everything that needs to be broken so you can reestablish souls towards your narrow path and salvation in Jesus. Father, we pray for an end to drug trafficking in this nation. 

-Angelic assignments to be placed over each trafficking victim or potential victim in Suriname. Yeshua, we pray for your divine protection over each individual. God, we ask for a release for these victims in Suriname. We pray that you would set free the oppressed in this nation. We press forward in your grace and ask for mental, emotional, and physical healing over the captives through the blood of your son Yeshua. We ask that the captive would hear your word and accept your saving grace Jesus. Help the victims enter into healing and life breathing communities. Holy Spirit, we ask that you would convict the guilty of their sins and lead them to repentance, salvation, and the plans you have for them.       

-We pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all people of all faiths. That their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions. We pray that every person would know that eternity with the Father is directly aligned to intimacy with the Lord Jesus. We pray for repentance from past sins and the acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
