In 2008, Spain endured a severe economic recession yet began embracing positive economic growth in 2013[1]. The unemployment rate is at 17% while those living in poverty is at 21% of the population[2]. Spain is currently serving as home to over 100,000 refugees and stateless persons. Additionally, prayer is needed over Spain’s borders being used as transit for illegal drugs[3]. Finally, Spain is a transit and destination country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor[4]. Let’s Pray…

-God, we thank you for Spain. We pray for your Spanish leaders to be filled with the Holy Spirit. God, help your people do everything through you, the one who gives us strength.* Let your followers embrace time in the secret place daily and help them bring unity to the body of Christ in Spain. We pray for Christians who need to go deeper with you Jesus, and we pray for specific encounters where they may feel your love, and be drawn into your embrace. Help them to love our incredible God and be women and men of God who pursue your heart!

-We specifically lift up the evangelical church and their missions into unreached territories. For these missionaries and their prayer teams, we pray for an equipping of the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, for their feet to be fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, for their shield of faith, their helmet of salvation, and their sword of the spirit-the word of God. Finally, let these believers pray in the Holy Spirit on all occasions.** Holy Spirit, may your people be consumed with your spirit and follow your lead. 

-Father, we lift up the refugee and stateless populations in Spain and pray for them to find community and safety in Spain. We pray for the provision of food, shelter, clothing, school, and any other resources they need. Father, we pray that your body would take care of this community. Thank you God.

-Father, we lift up the industrial and service sectors of Spain. We pray for an economic blessing for these areas as individuals continue to draw into a deeper relationship with you God. We pray that you would bless the Spanish economy just as you blessed Israel’s economy under king Solomon.

-Yeshua, we pray that you would end human trafficking in Spain. We pray for an angelic presence over the borders of this nation guiding the incoming victims towards a safe home and safe community. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor in Spain. Yeshua, we pray for your grace and protection specifically over unaccompanied migrant minors in this nation. We pray for healing, restoration, and freedom over those held captive in Spain. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace to lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration. 

-Jesus, we lift up the drug production that is making its way through Spain. Jesus, we pray that you would reveal your holiness to those in sin so they may turn from their ways. We pray for healing over the brain for those addicted to drugs and alcohol. Let these individuals find freedom in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach. Amen.
