Singapore
Singapore is a small island sandwiched between Malaysia and Indonesia. With a population just above 6 million people, this nation has a highly developed and successful free market economy with some of the busiest ports in the world[1]. It enjoys an open and corruption-free environment, stable prices, and a per capita GDP that is higher than most developed countries[2]. Singapore remains a source country for women and girls trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation[3]. Let’s Pray…
-Jesus, we thank you for the work of the Holy Spirit in Singapore. We thank you for freedom within this nation and for how your grace is overflowing on your people. We pray for an outpouring of your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control over this nation.* God, we pray for all who are not covered in the blood of Christ to have encounters with your word and be transformed by your truth. Help them to repent of their sins and walk with you Jesus.
-God, we lift up the collegiate and younger generation in Singapore. Father, we pray for an anointing of the Holy Spirit to raise up transformational leaders amongst this generation. Help them to develop a love for the bible and a personal relationship with you where they seek you with all their heart, soul, and strength.** Help them to walk out the plans you have for their lives. We pray a special blessing over the biblical training schools and collegiate ministries and ask that you would continue to protect the leadership and keep them close to you Jesus. Help them to remain in you Jesus.
-God, we lift up every government official in Singapore and we pray that they would know you Jesus and that they would seek to love you with all their heart, soul, and strength.** Father, help them to lead through the direction of the Holy Spirit. Father, may their agenda be yours and may this nation continue to prosper. Thank you Jesus.
-God, we pray over the family unit and ask for your grace Jesus to press into all areas and overcome any stronghold of the enemy. We pray that families would give their greatest weaknesses to you, and we ask for healing to be poured out in your name. We pray for any mental health bondage to be broken off in the mighty and perfect name of Jesus. We lift up the poor and pray that you God would secure justice for the poor and uphold the cause of the needy in Singapore. Father, meet all their needs and help them to rest in the loving arms of their creator.
-Finally, we lift up women that are being trafficked in Singapore. We pray for freedom over the women and girls who are trafficked into Singapore. Father, help them to heal from the mental, emotional, and physical scars of being trafficked. We pray for the opportunity to return home and to know you as savior Jesus.
-Lord, we lift up every sister and brother in Christ. We pray for each Christian to stand firm and be equipped with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, for their feet to be fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, for their shield of faith, their helmet of salvation, and their sword of the spirit-the word of God. Finally, let these believers pray in the Holy Spirit on all occasions. Father, Son & Holy Spirit, betroth your Singaporeans to you forever. Betroth your people in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion. Betroth your people in faithfulness that they would acknowledge the Lord our God. Amen.***
