Sierra Leone

Sierra Leone endured an intense civil war which lasted eleven years and ended in 2002[1]. War amongst other things has left Sierra Leone as one of the poorest nations in the world. Diseases are high, children are underweight[2], yet organizations are working hard to produce the change God desires to see within Sierra Leone. Another major concern is that Sierra Leone is a source, transit, and destination country for children and women trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and commercial sexual exploitation[3]. Let’s Pray…

-Jesus, God, Holy Spirit, we lift up this nation to you. We begin by praying for your Christians. Lord Jesus, may they stand firm in the word of God, that they may live out each day with you. May the God of hope fill the Christians of Sierra Leone with all joy and peace as they trust in you, so that they may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.* We pray that you would continue to empower your children’s journey so they can fulfill the plans you have for their lives. Father, we pray for protection over Christian converts and ask for angelic protection to go before and behind these new believers. Help their seed of faith grow deep and strong in you Lord Jesus.

-Lord Jesus, we lift up the poor communities in Sierra Leone. God we pray for your provision of food, clean water, clothing, education, and shelter to this nation. As they receive your provision, may they give you Jesus all praise, glory, and honor.

-Yahweh, we lift up the victims of human trafficking in Sierra Leone. God, we pray for angelic protection over each victim and potential victim in this nation. We pray that the fear of the Lord would rest upon these victims, and that your blood Yeshua would shatter their bondage and release freedom. We pray for emotional, mental, and physical healing over the captives. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.

-Holy Spirit, we pray that you would convict the Sierra Leoneans of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness, and judgment. Father, we pray that the Islamic population would know you and seek out the truth in regards to the Word of God and Jesus Christ. We pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all people in Sierra Leone, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions. Let salvation flood the streets of Sierra Leone through the acceptance of our Savior Jesus Christ.**

-God we pray against diseases and plead the blood of Jesus Christ over those inflicted with diseases in Sierra Leone. Father, may they respond to your grace, seek your face, find healing, and accept your blood Jesus as atonement for their sins.

-God, help this nation train children in the way they should go, so that when they are old they will not turn from it.***
