Russia

Russia holds the ninth largest population in the world, and about 20% are from Christian backgrounds[1]. This leaves a lot of people needing to hear and receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. Russia is one of the leading producers of oil and natural gas, and is also a top exporter of metals including steel and aluminum[2]. Their nation’s poverty level, unemployment rate, and public debt all remain low. Some quick prayer requests include over the health and wellness of the Russians, and for those affected by various diseases. Let’s pray for the love of Christ to enter into and transform these communities. Russia also needs prayer over transnational issues with bordering nations, while also being home to 150,000 refugees and stateless people[3]. Finally, Russia is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, and children who are subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking[4]. (2.24.22) On February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine as an act of war. Both nations need our prayers. Let’s Pray…

-God we thank you for Russia, and how you have blessed this nation through natural resources. We thank you for your Christian believers in Russia and we pray that they would seek to love you with all their heart, all their soul, and all their strength.* We pray for a greater anointing of the Holy Spirit to fall on your Christians. God we lift up all people groups who have yet to receive Yeshua’s blood for their sins. We pray for your grace to be presented to them in a way that penetrates their heart. Let your Word lead them to salvation. Father, may your people be anointed with special missions to share your love and truth in these places. May your salvation pour out like a drink offering upon these communities.

-Father, we lift up the Chinese communities living in Russia. We pray for love and acceptance to come from their neighbors. We pray that they too would know your grace and love Jesus. We ask for their hearts to be led to repentance and to receive your salvation Jesus. Let your Chinese churches in Russia be filled with the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

-We pray over Russia’s foreign relations with bordering nations. Father, we pray for Shalom.

We pray Shalom over the hearts of leaders who may engage with their neighbors in hostility. We pray for peaceful resolutions. We lift up every refugee and stateless person and we ask for every need to be met. We pray for the provision of food, shelter, water, education, and work.

-We pray over the population impacted by any disease in Russia. Jesus, we ask for your blood to free them from their diseases. As people place their trust in you, we pray that you Jesus would heal their bodies, and that you Jesus would attain all the glory. Additionally, we pray over the health and wellness of Russians. We ask for your guidance and grace in seeking out healthy food and lifestyle choices.

-We pray for governments to help in the provision of clean sanitation facilities for those who do not have them. We pray for your workers Yeshua to press forward your work in Russia.

-God, we lift up the human trafficking crisis in Russia. Father, we pray for the captives to be set free. We pray over the women, children, and men forced into their circumstances, and we pray for physical and emotional freedom for these individuals. We ask for a spiritual covering over them as they embrace the evils of this world. We pray that you would heal their minds and flood their hearts with your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.** Yeshua, we pray that each captive would receive your free gift of salvation and walk in relationship with you God.

-God, we lift up the illegal drugs cultivated within Russia and transported through Russia. Father, we pray for the conviction of the Holy Spirit to fall upon those who are guilty of producing or transporting illegal drugs through Russia. We pray that these individuals would repent of their sins, and be led by you in the direction they should now go. We pray over the minds and hearts of those addicted to these drugs. We pray for freedom in the name of Christ to be poured out over these individuals.

-(2.24.22) Yeshua, we pray for the hearts of the Russian leadership to be conformed to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, we pray for your will to be done in this situation. Holy Spirit, we pray that you would move forward your will over the nation of Russia, in this region, and over the world. Father, we pray for an end to war. Father, we pray over the citizens of Russia, and pray that they would meet with you Yeshua and trust in your unfailing love. Amen.
