Qatar

Qatar’s population is primarily composed of migrant workers (88.4%) with 11.6% being Qatari[1]. While Qataris have one of the highest per-capita incomes in the world, migrant workers live on the opposite end of the economic spectrum. Expatriates and migrant workers are generally treated and perceived as slaves[2]. Working conditions for migrant workers can be inhumane and dangerous; facing underpayment, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and lack of proper living conditions[3]. Qatar is also a destination country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and forced prostitution[4]. In regards to the gospel, it is illegal to evangelize and for a Muslim to convert to Christianity[5]. Let’s Pray…

-God we lift up this nation to you.  We pray for protection over our brothers and sisters in Qatar. God, let the Christians in Qatar place you like a seal over their heart, like a seal on their arm, for your love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. Let your love burn like a blazing fire, like a mighty flame in their hearts. Father, lead them in your truth and help them to know you Yeshua with all their heart, soul, and strength. God, help them to be an evangelical tool through love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.*

-God, we lift up the expatriates in Qatar, and pray for fellowship and acceptance amongst the citizens of Qatar. We pray for justice and safety in regards to employment, wages, and working conditions. Father, we ask that you would open up the floodgates of heaven as you provide food, water, shelter, clothing, and resources for the expatriate and migrant workers. Thank you God!

-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking business in Qatar. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor. We pray for freedom, healing, and restoration over those held captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.

-Holy Spirit, we pray for salvation to come to those who are not covered in the blood of Jesus Christ. We pray for the scales of wealth and religion to fall from their eyes so they may see their desperate need for Yeshua HaMashiach. Jesus, have your way with the Islamic believers that they may place their trust in you! Holy Spirit, may you pour out your spirit on all people, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions.**  Let salvation come to the citizens of Qatar through Christ alone, Amen.
