Palau

The nation of Palau consists of a group of islands in the North Pacific Ocean with the majority of the population located on the southern end of the main island of Babelthuap[1]. The economy is heavily dependent on tourism but also includes trade, agriculture, and fishing[2]. About 25% of the population lives in poverty[3]. Finally, the nation of Palau is a transit and destination country for women trafficked for the purposes of sexual exploitation, while also serving as a transit and destination country for men trafficked for the purposes of forced labor[4]. Let’s Pray…

-Father, we lift up Palau to you and all the people throughout the islands. Father, we pray that your word and your gospel message would penetrate the hearts and minds of the lost on the islands. God, help them to understand repentance and salvation through Christ alone. We pray that you Father would help your people seek to love you with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind.* God, we pray that this nation would be a blessing to incoming tourists, and that they would see your love through the Palauan people.

-God, we lift up the economy and pray a blessing over the tourism, agriculture, trade, and fishing sectors. Father, we pray for the needs of the poor and we ask for the provision of food, water, shelter, clothing, and education. Father we pray that you would meet all their needs and that they would know you Jesus as Lord and Savior.

-Yeshua, we pray that you would end human trafficking in Palau. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor. We pray for healing and restoration over those held captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.

-God, we lift up the maritime delineation negotiations between Palau, Indonesia, and the Philippines and ask for your leadership as they establish maritime boundaries.  Amen.
