Oman

In Oman, the state religion is Islam. While the state promotes religious freedom, there are many restrictions including Christians having to use government-approved locations for worship gatherings[1]. Like many of the surrounding countries, Oman depends on oil as an export to sustain its economy. Oman also attracts many migrant workers from Southeast Asian nations who often find themselves being exploited by employers and at risk to physical and sexual abuse amongst other challenges[2]. Let’s Pray…

-God, we lift up each Omani household to your throne room. Yeshua, we pray for your mercy upon each household to meet them where they are. Lord Jesus, prepare their hearts and minds to receive your blood as their everlasting salvation. Jesus, let your name be proclaimed in the streets and may your message be planted deep in the hearts of men and women. We pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all the Omanis, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions.*

-Father, we lift up the Christian community to you. We pray for favor upon your saints that they could glorify your name by all they do and all they are. God, let your people place you like a seal over their heart, like a seal on their arm, for your love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. Let your love burn like a blazing fire, like a mighty flame in their lives. As they speak your word, let your word be like fire, my Lord, and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces. Let your word lead an outpouring of salvation in Oman.**

-God, we also lift up all the migrant workers from Southeast Asia and ask for angelic protection on each worker currently dwelling in Oman and for those considering migrating to Oman. Yeshua, we pray for righteousness and holiness to go before them and behind them and that oppressive forces would have no power over them. We pray for a release over any individuals held captive and forced against your will into service. Yeshua, we pray for healing over the broken hearted. Yeshua, we pray that salvation and healing would come to the poor in Oman, and that they would worship you Yeshua. We pray against the oppressive employers and ask that you would lead them towards repentance through Yeshua or move them towards judgment.

-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking business in Oman. We pray for an angelic presence over the borders of this nation guiding the incoming victims towards a safe home and safe community. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor. We pray for healing, restoration, and freedom over those held captive in Oman. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.

-Father, we lift up the refugees from Yemen and pray for the provision of food, clean water, shelter, clean sanitation facilities, access to education, and strong community to support them. We pray that they would know your love and grace is leading them in this season of transition. Help them to receive you as their Lord and Savior.

-God, we lift up the government of Oman and pray for the salvation of their leaders.  We pray for love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control to overflow upon their leadership, that the Holy Spirit may be given control over their lives. Let men of God arise in Oman, and release an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Oman. Amen.
