Norway

The economy in Norway is doing well, maintaining a wealth of natural resources including oil and gas, fish, and forests[1]. Norway is also the world’s second largest exporter of seafood[2]. Additionally, the government saves revenue from the petroleum sector and has created the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund[3]. Norway also serves as a home to about 45,000 refugees and stateless persons[4]. Finally, Norway is a destination country for women and girls trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation and for men and children trafficked for the purposes of domestic servitude and forced labor[5]. Let’s Pray…

-God, we thank you for the wisdom you have poured out upon your leaders in Norway. We thank you for the way your spirit is moving and equipping Christians in Norway to spread your word and live in love. We ask that your Christians dwell in the secret place of the most high, let them abide in the shadow of the Almighty. We pray for an infilling of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Help each Christian to live in love for you God with all their heart, all their soul, and all their strength.*

-God, we ask for the Norwegians to serve, respect, embrace, and love each refugee and stateless person in this nation. May your breath of life flow deeply through these communities and may your works be pressed forward in this nation. We pray for each individual in need to have sufficient shelter, food, water, clothing, and a source for productivity and income.

-We pray for a continued blessing over the economy and ask that their leaders would walk hand in hand with your guidance and direction Yahweh. Specifically, we pray for a blessing over the fishing, forests, and petroleum industry.

-Yeshua, we pray that you would end human trafficking in Norway. We pray for an angelic presence over the borders of this nation guiding the incoming victims towards a safe home and safe community. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor. We pray for healing, restoration, and freedom over those held captive. Father, we pray for your hand of protection over the refugee centers and ask for your angels to be stationed here as well, guiding refugees towards safety and life breathing communities. Father, help your church cover these refugees in your love and provision. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty of those trafficking victims, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.

-Father, we lift up the uninhabited territories of Bouvet Island and Jan Mayen Island to you. Yeshua, we pray over the meteorological and radio station(s) on the island and for the workers in them. We pray that they would be filled with your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.** We ask that they would also get a deeper glimpse of you as they study your creation. God, we pray for a blessing over your creation on and around the islands and that your creation would glorify your name Yahweh.

-Father, we lift up the territory of Svalbard to you and ask for the inhabitants to have community rooted in the son Jesus Christ. We pray for the gathering of the saints and for healthy fellowship in which they worship the name of Yeshua in spirit and truth. As they put their trust in you, we ask for a blessing over the coal mining industry, the tourism industry, and the international research teams. God, we pray for a successful, sustainable economy which is centered in Yeshua.

-To the nation of Norway and its territories, may the Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace. Amen.***
