North Korea

North Korea is governed by the concept of Juche ideology, an idea of self-reliance and separation from the world. The economic challenges of this nation have been significant, including famine and widespread starvation[1]. The government of North Korea persecutes Christians. Christians are sent to concentration camps where they are starved, overworked, and tortured[2]. One estimate is that there are about 30,000 Christians in prison and labor camps[3]. Let us also lift up the trafficking situation in North Korea, in which women, children, and men are forced into labor, marriage, or sex trafficking[4]. Many women have been lured from North Korea to China in the pursuit of freedom only to be forced into prostitution, marriage, or exploitative labor agreements[5]. Despite these challenges, we trust in Elohim, whose plans will not be stopped. Let us usher in God’s plans through prayer…

-God, we thank you for North Korea, and for the ways your Holy Spirit is drawing Koreans into your presence daily. Father, we pray for sacred and protected places where your people can seek you out with all their heart, all their soul, and all their strength. We pray for an increase in angelic presence in Christian households and disbursed throughout the country. We pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all people, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions of you Yeshua. Jesus, we pray for the scales to fall off the eyes of millions of Koreans that they may see you, the God of truth and salvation. Jesus, we pray for millions of Koreans to embrace you as Lord and to accept your free gift of repentance. Holy Spirit, help them to rest in you and walk with you. Amen.*

-Elohim, we pray for the government leaders to encounter your power and might. We ask for an opportunity for repentance, yet if they choose not to, we pray for judgment. Adonai, we pray for a rapidly changing structure over the government and economy. We pray for the military to bow to you, Yeshua, our great high priest. We pray for divine intervention over any military action that goes against your will Jesus. God, we pray for a release of every captive individual in the concentration camps. Father, shake everything that can be shaken until righteousness and justice is reflected in this government and every sector of life.

-God, we lift up each Christian in North Korea. We pray that they would be equipped with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, for their feet to be fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, for their shield of faith, their helmet of salvation, and their sword of the spirit, the Word of God. Finally, let these believers pray in the Holy Spirit on all occasions. Help them to respond to the hand of the enemy with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Just as you Jesus are the vine, and these Christians are the branches, we pray that they would abide in you, and that you Jesus would abide in them. Help them to reap 100 fold for your kingdom.**

-Father, we lift up the poor to you in North Korea. We pray for a miracle over their lives and ask that every need would be provided for in your mighty name. Thank you Jesus.

-Jehovah-Tsidkenu, we lift up the trafficking situation in North Korea and ask for your justice to be executed over the injustice to the slaves, the poor, the oppressed, those forced into marriage, and those forced into sex work. Holy Spirit, we pray that you would convict this world of guilt in regard to sin, righteousness, and judgment. If traffickers do not repent, we pray for judgment of the guilty and for freedom of the captives in North Korea. Jesus, we pray that you would capture each heart and flood it with your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Fill their hearts with hope in you, Yeshua; and heal their mental, emotional, and physical wounds. Jesus, we pray for every captive to know you as Lord and Savior.***

-We pray against the drug trafficking taking place within this state and ask for your conviction upon the guilty to repent from their ways and find hope in you Jesus. We pray for drug users in North Korea to find healing in your name Yeshua. Amen.
