Namibia

The nation of Namibia is located to the Northwest of the nation of South Africa. While this nation has a high per capita GDP, these numbers hide one of the world’s most unequal income distributions[1]. 28% of the population are unemployed and 29% of the population live in poverty[2]. The Evangelical Lutheran Churches and the government are both working to serve and support those living in poverty. Finally, let’s pray over the human trafficking situation in which women and children are forced into labor and sex-trafficking roles[3]. Let’s pray for those poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and inherit the kingdom that God promised for those who love him.*

-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking business in Namibia. We pray for divine wisdom over parents as they decide important life steps for their children. We pray for angelic assignments to be given towards each victim and potential victim in Namibia. Let the fear of the Lord sit on the perimeter of every village keeping out every trafficker in Namibia. We pray for salvation and freedom to come to the oppressed and poor. We pray for healing, restoration and salvation over those held captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.

-Yeshua, we lift up your body in Namibia. Father, we pray for an infilling of your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control over every believer in Namibia. Holy Spirit, convict your body of any sins and lead them in repentance and a right relationship with you God. Father, we pray that your believers would seek to love you God with all their heart, soul, and strength. Help them to live with the full armor of God and live according to your plans for their lives.**

-God we pray for your Namibians and we lift up the basic needs of food, clean water, shelter, clothing, clean sanitation facilities, and education. We pray for your Holy Spirit to work through your body and the government to provide for the needs of this nation. Jesus, let your children be fed and give them safe housing. We pray that their greatest need of salvation and a relationship with you God would be sought out with all their heart, soul, and strength. Amen.
