Mauritania

The nation of Mauritania is located in the Northwest region of Africa. Churches do exist, but the distribution or printing of Christian literature is prohibited, and those who convert from Islam to Christianity are persecuted for their faith[1]. Mauritania is amongst the poorest countries in the world with almost the entirety of this nation’s land being desert land (Sahara). Only a small portion of the land is good for farming. The nation is also a source and destination country for women, children, and men subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking. Let’s Pray…

-Elohim, our Lord and mighty God who created the universe. We declare that you are the creator of each soul in Mauritania, and you passionately love each soul in this nation. Jesus, reveal yourself to this nation my Lord that their sins may be forgiven. We pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all Mauritanians, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions. Jesus, spread your light over this nation, that your Holy Spirit would pour out like Pentecost and bring millions to faith in Christ.*

-God we pray for the Islamic faith to be confronted by Jesus Christ. God, remove the scales from their eyes that they might repent from their sins and be saved through the blood of Jesus Christ.

-Jesus, we pray for each of your Christians to dwell in good soil where your seeds spread over them. Father, we pray that their hearts would be noble and good. We pray that they would hear your word, retain it, and through perseverance produce a crop a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown.**

-Lord, we pray for the poor in this nation. We pray for food, clean water, clothing, shelter, and agricultural success for this nation. God, may you receive glory for your provision for this nation, thank you.

-Father, we pray for the government leaders and ask for an impression of you Holy Spirit to cover their lives. Expose the sin in their lives that they would choose to be washed clean in the blood of Christ. Father, lead this nation through your Godly leaders, and let your will be done in Mauritania. Thank you Jesus.

-Father, we pray over the victims of human trafficking in Mauritania and those sent to other nations. Father, we pray for your hand of protection over your creation. Lord Jesus, restore their identity, and reestablish this identity in you Jesus Christ. Father, we pray that you would defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; that you would maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.  Father, rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.*** Convict those guilty of enslaving your creation to confront their sins, and find redemption through Christ.  Amen.
