Madagascar
The economy in Madagascar is comprised primarily of agriculture, fishing, and forestry accounting for 25% of the GDP and employing around 80% of the population[1]. 75% of the population lives in poverty[2]. Additionally, Madagascar is a source country for women and children trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and sexual exploitation. Politically, the nation appears to be finding stability after experiencing much instability in the early 2000’s. The church is strong in this nation. Let us continue to press forth in prayer for the agenda of the Holy Spirit to be accomplished in Madagascar. Let’s Pray…
-God, we lift up your Christians in Madagascar to be equipped with your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.* Let them be a light for all your unreached Malagasy to come to know you. We pray for healthy, authentic, Christ-centered church communities in Madagascar that would sacrificially serve one another. Help your body to operate in unity and love one another and help them to love others.
-We thank you for this time of political stability. Yeshua, help these leaders govern through your gifts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We pray that these leaders in government would know you with all their heart, soul, and strength. Father, we continue to press forward your blessings for the economy and the nation. We pray for blessings in the agricultural, fishing, and forestry sectors as well as other sectors you choose to raise up to bless this economy. Thank you Jesus.**
-We pray for those with limited resources in Madagascar, and we ask for the provision of food, clean water, clothing, shelter, and clean sanitation facilities for all the people of Madagascar. Thank you Jesus.
-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking business in Madagascar. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor. We pray for healing, restoration, and angelic protection over those held captive and those transported to various countries. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration. We pray that the victims would have the opportunity to be reunited with their families or establish a Godly community around them.
-God we pray for revival through the power of the Holy Spirit to be ushered into Madagascar. We pray for millions to come to repentance and seek salvation through your name Jesus. Help them to begin their relationship with you and find mentorship and fellowship in your body Lord Jesus. Help all your believers to grow strong like the blue oak tree, whose roots are deeply imbedded in the Word of God.
-Jesus, we pray for the production of cannabis to come to an end. Convict the guilty of their sins that they might repent and be redeemed by your blood. We also pray for the ports of Madagascar to be kept holy and pure, and for the trafficking of drugs to come to an end. Amen.
