Latvia

Latvia’s economy has fully recovered since the economic collapse of 2008. While the public debt is declining, the population living in poverty remains as 25%[1]. An additional challenge is that Latvia serves as a source and destination country for women trafficked for the purposes of sexual exploitation and forced labor[2]. Additionally, teenage girls are trafficked within the nation for the purposes of sexual exploitation[3]. Let’s Pray…

-Father, we pray for unity amongst your churches in Latvia. We pray for your body to come together and execute your will for Latvia and the surrounding nations. God, may you continue to help your children’s hearts be fully committed to you God. Help them to live by your decrees and obey your commands.

-Father, we pray for those living in rural communities to have open hearts and minds to your gospel. We pray for salvation to come to all through the blood of Jesus Christ.

-Father, we lift up all people groups in Latvia and we pray for harmony to flow through the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray for healing to flow over past hurt. Thank you Jesus.

-God we call out the Jewish population in Latvia and ask for the softening of their hearts. May they be still and hear your words. May your words spoken to Jews be like fire, my Lord, and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces.*  May your words break the wall separating them from intimacy with you through your son Jesus Christ.

-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking industry in Latvia. We pray for an angelic presence over the borders of this nation guiding the incoming victims towards a safe home and safe community. We also pray for protection over the local women and girls of this nation. Yeshua, we ask for angelic assignments over these victims and potential victims of Latvia. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor. We pray for healing, restoration, and freedom over those held captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.

-Father, we pray a blessing over the exportation of resources and relationships with partnering nations. We pray against the transshipment of drugs through the ports of Latvia. We pray for your angelic presence to guard the ports and not allow drugs into this land. We pray for conviction from the Holy Spirit to fall on those supporting this industry. May they find grace in you Christ and may drug users find freedom from addictions through the name of Christ. We also pray against money laundering in this nation. Amen.
