Kosovo

The Kosovo war of 1998 rooted in a cultural clash of Albanians and Serbians remains to be devastating for Kosovo. While relations between Kosovo and Serbia have improved through EU facilitated talks, they have yet to reach a final settlement[1]. While the economy in Kosovo has improved in recent years, Kosovo citizens are the second poorest in Europe, with an unemployment rate of 33%[2]. Additionally, Kosovo is a source, transit, and destination country for women and children trafficked across national borders and within the country for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation[3]. Let’s Pray…

-Father, we thank you for the movement of your Holy Spirit in Kosovo. Father, we pray for peace. God, we ask for unity between these two ethnic groups in Kosovo. Father, we ask that you would soften hearts so they can forgive their fellow countrymen for their past sins. We pray for peace to arise between the nations of Serbia and Kosovo.

-Father, we lift up the unemployed in Kosovo and ask for work. Lord Jesus, we pray for the government to receive help from other nations to rebuild their system of government and their economy. We also pray for the creation of new career and educational opportunities. We pray for a blessing and an expansion over the agricultural sector and the various industries.

-God, we ask for your grace to be poured out upon families and households in Kosovo. We pray that hearts would be prepared and opened to hear the gospel of Christ. May your workers be sent to reap the harvest in Kosovo.

-We lift up the victims of human trafficking crimes in Kosovo. God, we pray for angelic protection over each victim and potential victim in this nation. We pray that the fear of the Lord would rest upon these victims, and that your blood Yeshua would shatter their bondage and release freedom. We pray for emotional, mental, and physical healing over the captives, and we pray for the salvation for each individual. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.

-Father, we pray over those involved in organized crime. We pray for your words of conviction to rest upon their hearts. Let your word be like fire, my Lord, and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces.*  May these individuals turn from their ways and find grace in your sacrifice Jesus. Amen.
