Jordan

While the official religion in Jordan is Islam, the state generally supports religious freedom. Nevertheless, Christians often find themselves facing persecution from the Muslim majority and can be prosecuted for proselytizing Muslims[1]. Additionally, Muslims can lose their civil status rights if they convert to another religion[2]. Challenges for the economy in Jordan include insufficient supplies of water, oil, and other natural resources[3]. Other governmental challenges include high rates of poverty, unemployment, inflation, and a large budget deficit[4]. Jordan is also a destination and transit country for women and men from South and Southeast Asia for the purpose of forced labor[5]. There are also reports of women from Morocco and Tunisia being forced into prostitution after arriving in Jordan[6]. Finally, Jordan serves as a host home to 3 million refugees from surrounding nations. Let’s Pray…

-Jesus Christ, we lift up your church in Jordan. We pray that your people would be filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Protect them from the attacks of the enemy. God we know that the harvest is plentiful and the workers are few. We pray to you Jesus, Lord of the harvest, to send out laborers into your harvest, and help them reap a thousand fold what was sown in the soil.*

-Father, we thank you for the salvation that is breaking forth in Jordan. We pray that the name of Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus Christ would be exalted in Jordan. We lift up the Islamic believers and pray for an infilling of the Holy Spirit to remove the blinders of the enemy. Father, help them to know the truth about your son Jesus Christ and that salvation is found in him alone. Father, we pray for millions and millions of Muslim believers to receive salvation found through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ alone. Amen!

-God, we ask for angelic assignments to be placed over each trafficking victim or potential victim in Jordan. Yeshua, we pray for your divine protection over each individual. God, we ask for a release of these victims in Jordan. We pray that you would set free the oppressed in this nation. We press forward in your grace and ask for mental, emotional, and physical healing over the captives through the blood of your son Yeshua. We ask that the captives would hear your word and accept your saving grace Jesus. Help the victims enter into healing and life breathing communities. Holy Spirit, we ask that you would convict the guilty of their sins and lead them to repentance, salvation, and the plans you have for them.

-Father, we lift up the natural resources that your Jordanians need. We pray for an abundance of clean water to spring up from the ground. Let your people also find abundance in food, water, clothing, and safe shelters. Thank you Jesus!

-Father, we pray for provision of work for the unemployed in Jordan.

-We lift up the refugees from other nations. Let salvation be found in their families through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Holy Spirit, help each individual know that you are the Christ, and to declare you as lord Jesus. We pray father that you would provide sufficient housing, food, water, clothing, and education for this population. Thank you Jesus.
