In 2011, Japan’s embraced a 9.0 Earthquake and accompanying Tsunami impacting the northeastern part of Honshu Island, killing thousands and damaging several nuclear power plants[1]. The economy has made steady strides since this crisis and remains the 4th largest economy in the world[2]. Shintoism and Buddhism are the primary religions in this nation, with about 1.9 million Christian believers[3]. Finally, Japan is a source and transit country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and sex trafficking[4]. Let’s Pray…

-God we lift up the nation of Japan to you, and pray for an infilling of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control to flood this nation. We pray for your Christians to know you and to seek you out with all their heart, soul, and strength. We pray for intimacy with you Yahweh. Father, we pray for those practicing Shintoism and Buddhism to come to know the saving power of Jesus Christ. Help them to know you Jesus, repent of their sins, and walk with you Jesus.*  

-God, we lift up the younger generation of Japanese women and men and pray for the fire of the Holy Spirit to lead their lives. God, we pray that they would walk out your plans for their lives in Japan. We pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all people in Japan, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions of you Jesus!** Let revival break out in Japan! 

-Father, we lift up the religions of Shintoism and Buddhism to you. God, we pray that you would remove the scales off the eyes of each believer so they could receive the truth found in your son, Jesus Christ. 

-God, we lift up the economy to you and give you praise for your hand of grace in response to the tragedy of 2011. Father, may your grace continue to lead Japanese men and women to receive your salvation. God, we pray for your guidance and direction over government officials and ask that their vision would align with your vision Jesus. Jesus, help them to follow you, the king of kings!

-We lift up every Holy Spirit directed ministry in Japan. Father, we pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be received by your leaders over every organization. Let your gifts of wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miraculous powers, prophecy, distinguishing between spirits, tongues, and the interpretation of tongues fall upon your leaders Jesus.*** In turn, enable them to pray forth these gifts upon every generation of believers.

-God, we lift up the human trafficking business in Japan. We pray that you Holy Spirit would convict this world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment.**** We pray for freedom for the captives and ask for emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. Jesus, help them to know that you are God, and you are with them, and that you will take care of them. 

-We lift up the stateless persons in Japan and pray for your grace to help them settle in safe and loving communities and that every need of theirs would be met in the name of Jesus.

-Father, we lift up any territorial disputes with other nations and we pray for resolution and peace amongst these nations. Thank you God.
