Iceland
The economy is moving in an upward trajectory after the 2008 financial crisis in which the 3 largest banks collapsed which depreciated their currency[1]. Outside of 2008, Iceland has achieved high growth, low unemployment, and a remarkably even distribution of income[2]. Tourism, aluminum smelting, and fishing remain pillars in their economy[3]. One area of prayer remains Iceland being a transit and destination country for men and women trafficked for the purposes of sexual exploitation and forced labor[4]. Let’s Pray…
-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we thank you for the love you continue to display to your Icelanders daily. May their country be filled with your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.* We pray for new vision to be poured out upon the congregations in Iceland. May your Christians continue to seek out your living water daily. May they drink from your wellspring of life and receive the gifts and the vision to carry out your plans in Iceland.
-God, let your Icelanders place you like a seal over their heart, like a seal on their arm, for your love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. Let your love burn like a blazing fire, like a mighty flame in their lives.**
-Father, we lift up the economic conditions of Iceland. Father, we pray for a blessing on the tourism, aluminum smelting, and fishing industry in Iceland. We pray that workers would walk with and embrace your Holy Spirit throughout their day.
-We pray a blessing over your Holy Spirit led ministries in Iceland. We pray over discipleship ministries and ask for the protection of your selected leaders. May they be equipped with your full armor God, and may their disciples learn to put on your full armor as well. We pray for an increase in salvations in Iceland and for an increase of believers seeking to love you God with all their heart, soul, and strength.***
-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking business in Iceland. We pray for an angelic presence over the borders of this nation guiding the incoming victims towards a safe home and safe community. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor. We pray for healing, restoration, and freedom over those held captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.
-God we pray for families to train children in the way they should go, so that when they are old, they will not turn from your ways Yeshua.**** May this upcoming generation enter daily into the secret place with you Jesus. May they be set on fire for loving you and serving your kingdom. Thank you Jesus.
