Hungary

Hungary became a Christian nation in 1000 A.D. and served as a stronghold against the expansion of the Turkish-Ottoman Empire[1]. The economy has taken great strides over the last 30 years shifting from a communist to market-driven economy, yet there remains many areas of prayer. This would include prayer over pervasive corruption in economics, labor shortages, poverty in rural areas, reliance on foreign energy, and vulnerability in demand for exports[2]. Hungary is also a source, transit, and destination country for women trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation[3]. The Holy Spirit is at work here in Hungary. Let us continue to press forth God’s will in Hungary.

-God, we lift up each Hungarian household to you. Father, may your son Jesus Christ be known within each family, and may they receive your atoning sacrifice for their sins Jesus. Holy Spirit, we pray for your power to continue to refresh the Church in Hungary. May you fill these houses of worship with your living water. Let your Christian leaders receive your vision for your body. We pray for resources and for leaders to execute your vision.

-Jesus, we thank you for the salvation of believers in this nation, and pray that they would say no to ungodliness and worldly passions.  May your Hungarians live self-controlled, upright, and Godly lives in this present age.* We pray against any idols that take away from the name of Jesus Christ, and we pray that every idolatrous practice would submit to the name of Jesus Christ.

-Jesus, we pray over the economy of this nation. We pray that as they turn their face toward you, that you would lead them in prosperity and wise decisions. We pray that their economy can find dependence from foreign energy and find stability in income gained from exports. We pray over the widespread poverty and we ask for the provision of food, clean water, shelter, clothing, education, and clean sanitation facilities for all. We pray for economic solutions to meet the labor shortages and we pray for a humbling over leadership who are engaging in corrupt practices. We pray for repentance to take place within these leaders so your nation can move forward. Thank you Lord Jesus.

-Father, we pray over the health of your Hungarians. We pray for healthy lifestyles throughout this nation. Holy Spirit, we pray that you would guide any lifestyle changes needed to glorify the temple you have given your creation.

-God, we pray against the drug material production, drug trafficking, and drug consumption in Hungary. Help the actions of each Hungarian reflect your holiness Yeshua. Elohim, let your divine nature pierce the hearts of the guilty towards repentance. May Hungary be completely rid of all drugs. In Jesus name we say Amen. We also pray against money laundering operations in Hungary and for individuals to respond to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

-We lift up the victims of human trafficking crimes in Hungary. God, we pray for angelic protection over each victim and potential victim in this nation. We pray that the fear of the Lord would rest upon these victims, and that your blood Yeshua would shatter their bondage and release freedom. We pray for emotional, mental, and physical healing over the captives, and we also pray for salvation for each captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.

-Father, Son & Holy Spirit, betroth your Hungarians to you forever. Betroth your Hungarians in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion. Betroth your Hungarians in faithfulness that they would acknowledge the Lord our God.** Amen.
