Haiti

The earthquake that struck Haiti in January of 2010 affected more than 3 million people and claimed the lives of 316,000[1]. 3 days of prayer and fasting by the nation took place on the one month anniversary of the tragedy[2]. God is moving in blessed ways through the midst of tragedy towards bringing renewal and salvation to many. An additional prayer point is that Haiti remains a source country for children being trafficked to other Caribbean nations[3]. Poorer families in the rural areas would also send their children (known as restaveks) to live with wealthier families in the cities for a better life, but most of these children become subjected to involuntary domestic servitude[4]. 65 percent of these restaveks are girls between the ages of 6 and 14 who work excessive hours and receive no schooling or payment and are often physically and sexually abused[5]. Much prayer remains needed for this nation. We pray for...

-The rebuilding process for homes and buildings. Jesus we pray your mercy to be upon the people of Haiti and that these people would trust in you through this crisis and for the future years of rebuilding. Lord let this nation be held in the palm of your hand, and let your Holy Spirit continue to bring restoration to families and communities. Lord Jesus let them find unity in the prince of peace, the Lord of all, Yeshua HaMashiach.

-Generosity from amongst the nations to support the restoration that you are doing in Haiti.

-Those in Haiti who are poor in the eyes of this world to be rich in faith and inherit the kingdom that you God promised to those who love you.*

-Those who practice voodoo.  Jesus, we pray in the power of your blood that you would break these strongholds of the enemy off your creation through your powerful name we pray!!! Lead your Christians to stand firm and be equipped with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, for their feet to be fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, for their shield of faith, their helmet of salvation, and their sword of the spirit-the word of God. Finally, let these believers pray in the Holy Spirit on all occasions.** Help them to find separation from the enemy in all areas of their life. Let your Christians remove all footholds for the enemy to attack from. We pray that your Christians would be fully protected by you Jesus Christ.

-A renewed power of the Holy Spirit to flood the streets of Haiti. We pray for Hattians to be holy in every area of their lives. Let the drug traffickers come to repentance in the son Jesus Christ, and we pray that drug users would find healing in Christ. Thank you Jesus!

-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking business in Haiti. We pray for supernatural protection over those at risk for being trafficked in Haiti and throughout the Caribbean. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor. We pray for healing and restoration over those held captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration. We pray over the restaveks population in Haiti and ask for your grace and mercy to fall upon them. Father, we pray that you would defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; that you would maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Father, rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. We pray for the restavek population to have a personal relationship with you where they seek to love you with all their heart, soul, and strength.***

-Godly wisdom and justice to be the centerpieces of those who are structuring the future government of Haiti. God we pray that you would appoint wise men like Solomon to download your wisdom for your plans towards this nation. As this nation repents, Jesus help them to turn completely away from sin and 100% towards you Jesus. Amen.
