Guinea-Bissau

Guinea-Bissau is one of the world’s poorest countries, in which two-thirds of the population live in poverty[1]. While the economy is built upon farming and fishing, it is also dependent on the illegal logging and trafficking of narcotics from South America bound for Europe[2]. God is big enough to dismantle these transit points, but he has chosen to partner with us in prayer.  Guinea-Bissau also serves as a source country for the human trafficking of children and potentially adults[3]. Let’s Pray

-God, we come before your throne and ask that Jesus Christ would be known throughout the entire land of Guinea-Bissau. We pray for hearts to repent of their sins and receive the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, transform society and release your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control upon every sector of society.* God, let your will be done in Guinea-Bissau.

-Father, we pray over the trafficking situation in Guinea-Bissau. Holy Spirit, we pray that in this moment, you would be convicting traffickers of their sin and that they would chose to repent in the name of Jesus Christ. Let the docks of Guinea-Bissau be kept holy just as the name Jesus Christ is holy. We pray that any drugs currently traveling to Europe would not arrive, and we pray for drug addictions to be broken in Jesus name. Amen.

-Father, we lift up the children of this nation. Lord Jesus, let your love fill their hearts. Father, we pray for angelic assignments over each victim or potential victim in this nation to be under the protection of your angels. God, help this nation train children in the way they should go, so that when they are old they will not turn from it.** God, we lift up the younger generation of Guineans and pray for those who are slaves by the hands of men. Lord Jesus, we pray that your compassion would overflow on them every moment of every day and they would know our Savior Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that you Holy Spirit would set these children free in the name of Jesus. Bring restoration that only you can bring Lord Jesus. Thank you my Lord, for your grace and transformational work in Guinea-Bissau right now. We pray that as this nation turns its face toward you and away from narcotic and human trafficking, that you God would pour out your blood on this nation and cover the sins of trafficking. We love you Jesus. Amen.
