Guinea

Since gaining its independence in 1958, Guinea had been under the regime of an authoritarian ruler until 2010 when they held their first elections[1]. Guinea remains an extremely poor country with valuable untapped resources due to an unstable government[2]. This nation also serves as host to refugees from Cote D’Ivoire[3]. Finally, Guinea is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and sex trafficking[4]. Let’s Pray…

-Lord, we first pray for your Christians in Guinea. Let your followers be identified by love. Let them stand out from the rest of society as they live in love. Help them to share their faith to others and work alongside missionaries to press forth your gospel message of salvation to all people groups. Father, we pray for your grace and mercy over your Christians as they embrace persecution from their neighbors. We ask for your angels to go before and behind them guiding their way. Release within your Christians your fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Help Christians to seek to love you God with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind. Amen.*

-We lift up the Muslim population and the unsaved people in Guinea, and pray for your hand of blessing and revelation upon them. We pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all people in Guinea, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions.** Let salvation and revival break out in Guinea, that millions and millions of Guineans would come to know you Jesus!

-We pray over the government, and ask that the leaders would be guided and directed by your Holy Spirit. Let them seek your face God and lead them into the renewal of their minds by the reading of your Word my God. Father, we lift up the economy and we pray for structure, wisdom, and support in cultivating the natural resources within Guinea and utilizing it to better the welfare of the citizens of Guinea. We also pray for any viruses impacting society to be removed in Jesus name we pray.

-Lord, we pray for the rebel groups throughout Guinea and ask that you would bring an end to the disruption and violence which they represent. Lord Jesus, may they come to know your heart, and see your face, and turn from their ways and repent of their sins in the name of Jesus Christ.

-Father, let this temporary dwelling place for the refugees be an opportunity to commune with you God in Guinea. We pray for your provision over these families and the communities they live in. We pray that you would tap into their wisdom and skill sets to withdraw resources from the land to serve the overall economy of Guinea. Help the refugees to know you Jesus, and trust in the power of your Holy Spirit.

-Father, we pray for the needs of the poor in Guinea. We ask for the provision of food, shelter, clean water, clothing, and clean sanitation facilities for these individuals. Thank you Jesus.

-Jesus, we lift up the injustices of human trafficking in Guinea. Lord Jesus, help each human to be valued by your Guineans as you value them. Help your people to have eyes as you see your creation. Lord Jesus, we pray for an end to human trafficking in Guinea. We pray for your captives to be free and reconciled with humanity and to enter into a personal relationship with you Jesus where they love you with all their heart, all their soul, and all their strength.*** Let freedom reign in Guinea through the blood of Jesus Christ. We pray for those responsible for the enslavement of others and we ask that they would hear your voice Holy Spirit and that they would repent of their sins in the name of Jesus Christ and turn from their wicked ways. Help them to live for you Lord Jesus. Amen!
