Guadeloupe

Guadeloupe is a French overseas entity[1]. The 2009 riots in Guadeloupe arose from the lower class citizens protesting against high prices and low wages[2]. The French Caribbean general strikes exposed deep ethnic, racial, and class tensions and disparities within Guadeloupe[3]. Let us continue to lift up the direction for the government that leads Guadeloupe. We pray for...

-God’s people to be filled with the fruits of his Holy Spirit. That God would infill them with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.* We pray for healing over racial and class tensions, and we pray that disunity would be replaced by love, humility, and grace. We pray for equality amongst all people groups in Guadeloupe and we pray for fair wages for all individuals.

-The ancestors of slaves to forgive families who have benefited from slavery. We pray over modern day slavery movements and ask for your angels to dismantle trafficking business and bring conviction upon the guilty. We pray for wisdom for government leaders in combatting human trafficking.

-The government that leads Guadeloupe and we pray for peace and wisdom from heaven to lead those in charge so Guadeloupe can prosper in the future while also healing from the trauma of past sins to its nation. Father, we pray for restoration and grace to cover the citizens of Guadeloupe.

-The health of your churches Jesus, and ask that each church would submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit on the island. We pray that each Christian would have a meaningful relationship with you where they seek to love you with all their heart, soul, strength, and that your grace would be received by the unsaved.** Holy Spirit, we pray for your power to flood across the island and bring revival to your name and your kingdom. Amen.
