Georgia
Similar to the nation of Armenia, Georgia adopted Christianity in the early 4th century[1], and remains a Christian nation today. Georgia has embraced much political unrest over the last three decades, an area that needs Godly leaders to move forward in government. Following the Ossetia War between Georgia and Russia, two regions in Georgia called Abkhazia and South Ossetia are seeking independence from the government of Georgia, which Russia supports[2]. Georgia also serves as a source, transit, and destination country for the human trafficking of women, men, and children[3]. Let’s Pray…
-God, we lift up this nation to you and we pray for your Holy Spirit to prevail and shine forth in Georgia. We pray for the passion of Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach to pour out your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control upon every person in Georgia.*
-Father, we lift up the dispute over the two regions and the international relations with Russia. Lord, we pray for your Holy Spirit to bring direction and peace over this land in Georgia. We pray for renewed relations with Russia, and that these nations could work together towards your kingdom purposes. God, we pray for Georgia’s relations with the surrounding Islamic nations. We pray for peaceful relations, and for the love of Jesus Christ to shine through and bless millions with the gift of repentance and salvation.
-God, we lift up the poor in Georgia. Lord Jesus, we pray for the provision of food, water, clothing, housing, education, and clean sanitation facilities for all in Georgia. We pray over the internally displaced population and stateless persons and we ask for your blessing as they establish themselves in new communities and as they establish their identities in Georgia. Thank you Jesus!
-Yeshua, we lift up the victims of human trafficking in Georgia. God, we pray for angelic protection over each victim and potential victim in this nation. We pray that the fear of the Lord would rest upon these victims, and that your blood Yeshua would shatter their bondage and release freedom. We pray for emotional, mental, and physical healing over the captives. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.
-Holy Spirit, we pray against the cultivation and distribution of drugs in Georgia. Holy Spirit, please lead the hearts of the guilty towards repentance and salvation. We pray for a renewal of heart, mind, and soul for those impacted by drugs through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Renew your plans for these individuals, that they might fulfill your calling God! Amen.
