Gabon
Gabon maintains a Christ centered population. The political system has been dominated by one family dating back to 1967 and definitely needs prayer over the imbalance of power and electoral fraud taking place in elections[1]. While Gabon has a per capita income which is four times the amount of most Sub-Saharan African countries, there is an unequal distribution of wealth leaving a large portion of the population in poverty[2]. The population also has a high rate for HIV/Aids (4%) and requires clean water and sanitation facilities in many rural areas[3]. Finally, Gabon is a destination and transit country for children and adults trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and commercial sexual exploitation[4]. Let’s Pray for the Holy Spirit to lead this nation beginning with unity within the church.
-Jesus, God, Holy Spirit, let your light lead this country. Jesus, we thank you for the salvation of believers in this nation, and pray that they would say no to ungodliness and worldly passions. That these people would live self-controlled, upright, and Godly lives in this present age.* Let your people find unity through your name Yeshua and in your Word. Let you leaders remove any evil practices within society and seek out repentance through the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus, let your name be glorified throughout every household in Gabon.
-Father, we pray over the political system and we ask for fair elections to be held and that those you have appointed into office would step into their roles as you call. We pray over the current regime and ask that they would submit to the Kingship of Jesus Christ. Help them to know you God and walk out the plans you have for the nation of Gabon.
-Lord we pray for the sick and diseased population in Gabon. Let them come to you Jesus for the healing of their sicknesses and diseases, and may your name Yeshua be glorified through the healing of individuals in Gabon.
-We pray for highly improved sanitation facilities and for clean water resources in all areas of Gabon.
-Yeshua, we pray that you would shut down the human trafficking business in Gabon. We pray for salvation to come to the oppressed and poor this day. We pray for freedom, healing, and restoration over those held captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.
-Father, we pray that you would defend the cause of the weak and fatherless in Gabon; that you would maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Father rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.** Father, we also pray over the imbalance of wealth, and ask for the wealthy to give generously to meet the needs of others in Gabon. Thank you God.
