Equatorial Guinea

Equatorial Guinea gained its independence from Spanish rule in 1968. Its territory consists of a mainland and five inhabited islands[1]. Although the political system is a democracy, it has been viewed as flawed since the 1996 elections, in which the president has had almost total control over the political system[2]. This nation does need improved clean water access and sanitation facilities for select regions[3]. Currently about 6% of the adult population is living with HIV/Aids[4]. 22% of the population remains unemployed despite the growth of the economy due to oil production[5]. Finally, Equatorial Guinea is a source country for children trafficked for the purposes of sexual exploitation and is a destination country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of forced labor. Let us push forth God’s agenda in this nation through prayer. Let’s Pray…

-God, we lift up the poor and enslaved in this nation. Lord Jesus, please free the captives and bring an end to human trafficking this day. We pray for the chains to fall off every captive, and for Jesus to reign victoriously in Equatorial Guinea. We press forth your will Jesus until your children are all set free, by your blood, and through your name. Lord Jesus, let your kingdom be established. We pray for emotional, mental, and physical healing over those who bear the scars of human trafficking. Lord Jesus, we pray that these victims would know you and walk in relationship with you God. We pray for the guilty who enslave others to repent of their sins and seek out the plans that you Yeshua have for their lives. Amen.

-Father, we pray for the political system and for the presidential role in this nation. Yeshua, we pray that you would visit select leaders and that you would show them how they are to lead in office. Father, we pray for a balance of power within the government and we ask that you Jesus would restructure anything that needs restructuring.

-Father, we pray for those who have received the blood of Jesus Christ to seek to love you Lord our God with all their heart, all their soul, and all their strength. Jesus, we ask that you would lead them by your grace so your will might be accomplished through their lives. Fill them with your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.*

-Jesus, we pray for the provision of clean water and clean sanitation facilities for all people in Equatorial Guinea. Thank you Jesus.

-We pray for healing through your name Jesus upon those with sickness and diseases. Let the HIV/AIDS population decrease and let it be a testimony to the name of Jesus Christ, and how healing is found in your name alone. We pray for employment and financial provision for your people of Equatorial Guinea. We thank you for honoring our prayers Jesus.
