Egypt
Egypt is residence to one of the largest Muslim populations in the world. Christians in Egypt have been targeted by various people groups and subjected to violence and harassment, while various laws and policies restrict various Christians from freely practicing their faith[1]. Human trafficking remains a great threat towards God’s creation in Egypt. Egypt is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, and children subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking[2]. It has been estimated that around one million children are forced into labor or prostitution[3]. 22 million people live in poverty and 23 million are overweight[4]. Let’s Pray…
-Father in Heaven, you love your Egyptians! Set them free from their sins as they profess their faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus, we pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all the Egyptians, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions.* We pray that they would know your heart for them Jesus, and that they would lay their sins down in submission at the foot of the cross. Yeshua, release individuals from the false doctrine of Islam and lead them in your truth of salvation Jesus. We pray that every Egyptian would hear the message of salvation being a free gift through Jesus Christ alone. Holy Spirit, prepare hearts to receive this message Lord. God, we pray for every Egyptian heart to receive you Jesus as Lord and Savior. Thank you Jesus.
-Father in Heaven, we pray for the protection of your Christians in Egypt. We pray for a stable government that would protect your people and would submit to the authority of Jesus Christ. Let these officials strive to serve you Jesus in all areas of their lives. Holy Spirit, let Egypt be transformed by your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.**
-We pray for each Egyptian Christian to stand firm and be equipped with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, for their feet to be fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, for their shield of faith, their helmet of salvation, and their sword of the spirit-the word of God. Finally, let your Egyptian believers pray in the Holy Spirit on all occasions.***
-We pray for the refugees and internally displaced people in Egypt. Father, we pray for these populations to develop authentic community through the name of Yeshua HaMashiach. Help them to be received by the Egyptians and feel one with the community. We pray for the provision of food, clean water, shelter, clothing, and clean sanitation facilities for these people. Thank you Jesus.
-Father, we pray for the poor in this nation. We pray that they would be rich in faith and inherit the kingdom that you God promised to those who love you.**** We also pray for healthier lifestyle practices for those who are overweight. Thank you Lord.
-Yeshua, we lift up the victims of human trafficking in Egypt. Jesus, we pray that you would free those held in bondage through the sins of mankind. We pray for an increase of angelic assignments to be disbursed throughout the streets of Egypt to protect children, women, and men. Yeshua, help these individuals know your justice and salvation. We pray for emotional, mental, and physical healing over the captives. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead these individuals to repentance, salvation, and restoration.
-We pray against any drug trafficking in Egypt. Let your Holy Spirit bind evil, and release your fruits of the spirit and bring about holiness upon your creation Jesus. Thank you Jesus.
