Costa Rica

The nation of Costa Rica is rooted in the Catholic Church, yet there is also a growing evangelical population. The economy took a significant setback in 2009 but has seen steady growth since.  Nevertheless, the poverty rate has been rising and stands currently at 25% of the population[1]. Costa Rica is a major transshipment point for illegal drugs and a significant consumer of drugs[2]. Finally, Costa Rica is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, & children subjected to sex trafficking & forced labor[3]. We pray for...

-Each individual follower of Christ to have a personal, intimate relationship with you God where they seek to love you with all their heart, soul, and strength.*

-The leadership of the church to disciple believers in biblical knowledge and Godly lifestyles. We pray these Christians would dwell in the secret place of the most high, Father. Let them abide in the shadow of the Almighty.**

-The Holy Spirit to raise up this next generation in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.*** We pray for you Holy Spirit to release individuals from every unhealthy addiction in Jesus name we pray.

-The provision of resources for your body in Costa Rica. We also pray for unity amongst your body in this nation.

-The oppressed peoples that are being shipped in & out of Costa Rica. Jesus, have mercy on them. Just as you broke the chains off Peter in prison, so break the chains of the captives in Costa Rica. Father in heaven, let your mercy fall upon the children, women, & men. Help them to know their Father in heaven is a just God, & that you will display your justice for the poor & oppressed in Costa Rica! Help those who are working for this evil industry to receive divine revelations of the judgment that will fall upon them if they do not cling to the mercy of Jesus Christ & repent from their sins. Let your mercy God lead them to repentance and salvation.
