Republic of the Congo

In the Republic of the Congo, there appears to be healthy growth within the evangelical churches. This nation is still impacted from the scars of civil war (1997-2003) which resulted in much death, family displacement, and a terrible impact on the land. Oil is a major export and central income for the GDP, but as the global prices rise and fall, so does their economy. 80,700 people currently live with HIV/Aids in this nation[1], a number God can reduce. The unemployment rate is at 53% and the population that lives below the poverty line is approaching 47%[2]. Finally, Congo is a source & destination country for the trafficking of men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and sexual exploitation[3]. Let’s Pray…

-Abba, Father, you are our Father in Heaven. We are your children. We intercede over your children, men, and women in Congo who are being exploited by the enemy. Lord Jesus, let your justice reign in Congo. Holy Spirit, send wave after wave of your love upon your people. God we pray that those held captive would dwell in the secret place of the most high, let them abide in the shadow of the almighty.* Free them from this lifestyle of captivity, that they may go shout the name of Jesus from the rooftops. Restore their soul through the fullness of your Holy Spirit. God, release the scales from the eyes of those caught in their sin. Help them to see Jesus that they might repent and be restored. Remind them of your justice, and that you God are judge eternal!

-God we lift up your Christians, and pray that your Congolese would keep the commandments of the Lord our God, that they would walk in your ways Jesus and they would fear your name. Help them to receive more of you Holy Spirit this day.

-Holy Spirit, release your presence over all of Congo, and that you would convict the hearts of those practicing false religions. Teach them about Jesus, repentance, and forgiveness. We pray that you God would pour out your spirit on all people in Congo, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions.** Father, help individuals deal with their sins here on earth, through your son Yeshua.

-God we intercede over the government, the poor, and your creation in Congo. Lord Jesus, we pray that your leaders who seek after your heart would lead this nation in the direction you desire it to go. We pray over the poor & ask for your spirit to rest upon them. Let those who are poor in the eyes of the world be rich in faith and inherit the kingdom that you God promised to those who love you.*** Father, we pray for the provision of food, shelter, clean water, clothing, and clean sanitation facilities for those in need. We pray over your rainforests in Congo. Lord Jesus, we pray that men and women would take care of your land in Congo. Let your will be done in and through us so that your kingdom may come, so that your will would be done in the nation of Congo.

-Father, we pray for healing to continue to be received for those who have lost families, communities, and homes. We lift up those who have been displaced due to war and ask for your grace, mercy, and for your Godly fellowship to comfort and support them. We pray over the refugees from Rwanda, CAR, and the DRC. Yeshua, we pray that they would receive love, dignity, and respect from the native Congolese. We pray for blessed fellowship over these communities in the Word of God and through your son Yeshua. We also pray for the provision of food, clean water, shelter, clothing, and clean sanitation facilities for these people. Amen!
