Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Democratic Republic of the Congo has been heavily impacted by wars in the 1990’s, and still struggles with peace in its nation today. The wars have also resulted in a nation displaced from their homes (primarily from the eastern provinces)[1]. This nation also serves as a home to nearly 400,000 refugees from Rwanda, CAR, Burundi, and South Sudan[2]. The DRC is also a source, destination, and possibly transit country for men, women, and children being trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and sex trafficking[3]. The DRC is also one of Africa’s biggest producers of the Cannabis[4]. Let’s cover the earth in the DRC borders with the blood of Jesus. Jesus we pray for…

-Your blood to pour out upon the sins of the land. Lord Jesus, help the Congolese to find hope and trust in you. Help them to fully repent of their sins and seek out your incredible grace. Help them to know your love Jesus that surpasses all understanding. Lead them in a relationship with you where they can seek to love you with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind.*

-An end to human trafficking in the DRC. Jesus, we pray that you would secure justice for the poor and uphold the cause of the needy.**  We pray for freedom for every captive woman, man, and child. We pray for emotional, mental, and physical healing over every captive in the DRC. Father, lead the guilty towards repentance and use them to bring an end to human trafficking in Congo. Thank you Jesus!!!

-The church to unite as the body of Christ. Jesus, let many hands working together make light work. Use your body Yeshua to intercede over the poor and over the injustices of their nation. Use your body to make a difference in their communities, to bring more and more people into a deeper relationship with you Jesus.

-The displaced people in Congo as well as the Congolese who are transitioning back home to the DRC. Help them to feel your presence in every area of life. Help them to give you all of their lives, and we pray that they would trust in you towards every decision. Thank you Jesus! We also pray for the refugees from Rwanda, South Sudan, Burundi, and the CAR. Father, we pray for the provision of food, clean water, shelter, clothing, and clean sanitation facilities for these families. We pray that your church would surround these communities with your love and that they would teach them about your grace and salvation in Yeshua.

-Those guilty of producing and distributing Marijuana. Holy Spirit, continue to speak truth into their lives, that they might receive your precious gift of salvation, & that they would turn from their ways and seek holiness. Thank you Jesus!
