Chad
Approximately 6,792,770 Chadian’s are Muslim, and although the nation declares religious freedom, Muslims control most aspects of government and business[1]. Islam continues to spread and Muslim schools and mosques are being built in Christian communities, creating tension[2]. Approximately 47% of the population (5,431,899) lives below the poverty line[3]. Amongst the problem of poverty, their nation has also taken in around 400,000 refugees from Sudan, Central African Republic, and Nigeria[4]. They also have approximately 59,000 people internally displaced in their nation[5]. Finally, Chad is a source, transit, or destination country for trafficking children towards forced labor and sexual exploitation[6]. Every person in this nation is priceless to God, Let’s Pray…
-God, we pray for your Christians and missionaries to flood the nation of Chad with the fruits of your Spirit God. Help them to live in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Father, we pray for your Spirit to pour out on all people, that their sons and daughters would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions. Father, help this nation repent of their sins and be washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. Help them to develop a relationship with you where they seek to love you with all their heart, soul, and strength.*
-Lord Jesus, we pray for the poor, the refugees, and the internally displaced people in Chad. God, you love them! God we pray that you would raise the poor from the dust and lift the needy from the ash heap; that you would seat them with princes and have them inherit a throne of honor.** Father, we pray that your Christians would serve and love on the displaced and those from another country. Father, we pray for the provision of food, clean water, clothing, and clean sanitation facilities for these people. Thank you Jesus.
-Help your children’s hearts be fully committed to the Lord our God. Help them to live by your decrees and obey your commands.
-Lord, we lift up the children in Chad. Lord Jesus, we intercede on behalf of the children whom you love. Send your angels to protect your children, and release the captives. God restore your poor and oppressed, that they may know the goodness of their Savior, creator, and friend. Remove the scales from the eyes of the wicked, that they might repent of their sins through the price you Jesus have already paid, and I pray that these individuals would step forward for the calling you have for them. For the trafficked children, we pray for emotional, mental, and physical healing for them. Thank you Lord Jesus.
