Cambodia is located in the southeastern region of Asia, a region where Buddhism is the primary religion. While Cambodia has experienced strong economic growth, they remain one of the poorest countries in Asia while long term economic development is a challenge[1]. The economy in Cambodia is challenged by pervasive corruption, limited educational opportunities, high-income inequality, and poor job prospects[2]. Finally, Cambodia is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, and children subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking[3]. Let’s Pray…

-God, we pray your grace over the nation of Cambodia. Jesus, we lift up the captives in Cambodia, including the women, children, and men. Jehovah-Tsidkenu, the Lord our righteousness, we pray for your righteousness to overtake this crisis in Cambodia. Jesus, we pray for generational sin to be broken in the name of Jesus. Father, we pray for the captives to be filled with your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.* We pray for every captive soul to know and receive you Jesus as Lord and Savior. We pray for human traffickers and ask for conviction from the Holy Spirit to lead them to repentance or we pray for judgment.

-Jesus, we pray for the Christians in Cambodia. God, help your people do everything through you, the one who gives them strength. Jesus, we pray for an infilling of your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control upon your people. God help them to teach others about you by the overflowing of your Holy Spirit within them. Jesus, may their temples be a pure sanctuary for you Holy Spirit. Help them to be daily refined in your fire so they may love you Yahweh with all of their heart, soul, and strength.** 

-God, we pray for those who live without your grace upon their lives. We lift up those who practice Buddhism and pray for your truth to be revealed to their hearts. God, we pray for the softening of their hearts and the opening of their ears to hear your good news. We pray for an increase in the reading of the Bible and Christian literature. We pray that media would lead people to you Jesus. We lift up Christian radio and ask for open ears to be blessed by these radio waves. We pray for an outbreak of your Holy Spirit to transform lives in Cambodia.   

-God, we pray for a blessing over the economy. We pray for economic investments within this nation and for a balanced distribution of resources in Cambodia. We also pray for an advancement of educational opportunities for the children. We ask for an expansion of the job market in Cambodia. Holy Spirit, we pray that you would give vision and initiative to your leaders to execute these needs. We pray for a turning of the hearts of Cambodians to you Lord Jesus, and we pray that you would meet their needs. Amen.
