Cabo Verde

Cabo Verde consists of 15 barren islands off the coast of West Africa. The islands suffer from a poor natural resource base, including serious water shortages[1]. About 82% of the food is imported and the fishing potential on the islands are not fully utilized[2]. 12% of the nation is unemployed and another 30% live in poverty[3]. These islands have also been used as a transshipment point for cocaine and used for money laundering[4]. We pray for…

-You God to be at the center of each believer’s heart. Help them to clean out their bodies so they can prepare a holy dwelling place for you Holy Spirit to live in. Just as you are holy Jesus, help your people to strive towards holiness and sanctification. Help your people to love you with all their heart, all their soul, and all their strength.*

-The economy on the islands. Lord Jesus, we pray that you would bless the economy and your servants. Just as you told your fishermen where to throw their nets, pour out wisdom on the fishermen of Cabo Verde to be successful as they work diligently for their community and as they serve you Jesus.

-Lord Jesus, we pray that you would shut down any ports which are taking in and transferring drugs to various countries. Lord Jesus, let these individuals be convicted by the Holy Spirit. Remind them that each individual will stand before your great white throne one day.  Remind them of this truth, and press them towards repentance, salvation, and lead them on the plans you have for them individually.  Thank you Jesus.

-Father, we pray for those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and inherit the kingdom that you have promised for those who love you.** Yeshua, we pray for the provision of food, clean water, clothes, and clean sanitation facilities for those in need. Amen.
