The establishment of US/UK military forces upon the islands has resulted in the relocation of all indigenous people[1]. The only population upon the islands is 4,000 US/UK military and civilian contractors. The islanders who were displaced (to Mauritius & Seychelles) are displeased with the British government for being displaced. Let’s Pray for these families & this region…

-God, we lift up these displaced families from this region. Lord Jesus, we pray that you would bring justice to this displaced population.  Help them to trust in you throughout the hardships of their situation. Father, shower them in your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Help them to love you with all their heart, all their soul, and all their strength. Help them to trust in the judge of the entire universe. Thank you Jesus!* 

-God, we lift up the military personnel on the island of Diego Garcia. We pray for a renewal of their souls daily in the word of God. Help them be close to you wherever they are. Lord Jesus, equip them with your full armor including the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, that their feet may be fitted with the readiness that comes with the gospel of peace. That they would bear the shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, the word of God. Finally, help them to pray in the Holy Spirit at all times, so that they may serve you to the best of their ability.** 

-We pray that your Christians on the island would dwell in the secret place of the most high, let them abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
