The nation of Benin is sandwiched in between Togo and Nigeria. About 40% of the nation professes faith in Christ. Yet this nation also has 3.9 million Beninese that practice either Islam or Vodoun (also practiced heavily by their neighbors in Togo)[1]. Pray for the Christian leaders in government to be led by the presence of the Holy Spirit. This nation is also used as a port for drug trafficking to other nations, and is also vulnerable to money laundering[2]. 37% of the nation is below the poverty level[3]. Finally, this nation is a source, transit, and destination country for children trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and sex trafficking[4]. Let’s Pray.   

-God we know that those who are poor in the eyes of the world yet rich in faith will inherit your kingdom Jesus! Let your poor be rich in faith! Father, we pray for a release of your fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control to fall upon your people in Benin. Help them to love you with all their heart, all their soul, all their mind, and all their strength.*

-Jesus, we pray for you to bind the false religions in the nation of Benin! Through the blood of Jesus, we pray that scales would fall from the eyes of those who follow something other than Christ. Lord Jesus, we pray for the millions of Beninese who don’t know you, and we ask that you would pour out your spirit on all people in Benin, that their sons and daughters would prophecy, that their old men would dream dreams, and their young men would see visions.** Holy Spirit break out in powerful ways through your believers and bring revival to this nation. Let your blood cover the sins of the nation through repentant hearts and the acceptance of Jesus in their lives. 

-God we lift up your Christian leaders in government, and pray for wisdom and humility to be poured out upon your various leaders. Father, help them keep you close to their heart. Help them to do the job you have appointed them to do.

-We pray for your Spirit to bring those involved in drug trafficking and money laundering to repentance in Jesus name. Lord Jesus, bring them into your family so they can do radical work as your servant Paul did. Thank you Jesus!!! 

-Father, we lift up the children who are victims of human trafficking crimes in Benin. God, we pray for angelic protection over each victim and potential victim in this nation. We pray that the fear of the Lord would rest upon these victims, and that your blood Yeshua would shatter their bondage and release freedom. We pray for emotional, mental, and physical healing over the captives, and we also pray for salvation for each captive. We ask for conviction to fall upon the guilty, and we pray your grace would lead them to repentance, salvation, and restoration.
