Bangladesh

Bangladesh is located in the southeastern region of Asia, a region dominated by the religions of Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. This is an extremely dangerous region for Christians to live in. In Bangladesh, Christians may worship freely yet will face social discrimination as a result[1]. Christians are denied access to public water wells; their properties are destroyed, and are physically beaten[2]. The most significant economic sectors in Bangladesh are in agriculture and industry[3]. This nation also embraces high poverty rates[4]. Bangladesh is also a source and transit country for human trafficking[5]. Finally, Bangladesh is home to over one million refugees and internally displaced persons[6]. Let’s Pray…

-God, we thank you for the work of your hands in this nation, we pray for your mercy to pour out upon Bangladesh. Father, we lift up our Christian brothers and sisters and ask for spiritual protection and supernatural provision. God, do not let the hindrances that work against Christians strain their relationship with you. God, we pray that the works of the enemy would draw them closer to you Yeshua. We pray for each Christian in Bangladesh to stand firm and be equipped with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, for their feet to be fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, for their shield of faith, their helmet of salvation, and their sword of the spirit-the Word of God. Finally, let these believers pray in the Holy Spirit on all occasions. Fill them up with your gifts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, and help them to share these gifts with the world.*

-God we pray over the economy and ask for a blessing over the rice and garment productions. We pray for provision, wisdom, and fairness in these industries.

-God, we pray over the government leaders and ask for divine encounters to each individual who does not know you. Convict them with the fear of the Lord, that they may turn from their ways and serve their country through holiness and justice. We pray that you God would secure justice for the poor and uphold the cause of the needy in Bangladesh.**

-God, we pray over the literature and bible printing for this nation. God, we pray for the bibles to find safe passage into this nation and into the hands of those you desire. For the illiterate, we pray for audio bibles and teachers for helping them to consume your word. We also pray for the printing of copies in various tribal dialects. Let these bibles enter communities prepared by the Holy Spirit to be taken in as truth, and for communities to receive salvation. Amen.

-God, we lift up those who are trafficked in this nation. Jesus, we pray for healing over the souls of the afflicted in this nation. God, we lift up the ministries in Bangladesh who are fighting the good fight. Help them to serve the poor and restore justice to the needy. Father, we pray for conviction over the guilty families who sell their children, and conviction over those who bind the captive. Jesus, we pray for the chains of captivity to be broken, in Jesus mighty name! We pray for emotional and physical healing for each individual. May they find grace, comfort, and renewal through your Holy Spirit.

-We pray a spiritual blessing over every ministry in Bangladesh. We pray for you God to help each organization do everything through You, the one who gives them strength. We pray for angels to be stationed within each organization for spiritual protection from the enemy. Jesus, we pray that these organizations would dwell under the shadow of the almighty. Father, we pray that their hearts would be noble and good. We pray that they would hear your word, retain it, and through perseverance produce a crop a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown.***

-Jesus, we pray that you would continue to reveal yourselves to the Muslim population in Bangladesh and for their hearts to respond in love to your truth. We ask that every person in Bangladesh who doesn’t know Yeshua could have a moment with you and receive you as Lord and Savior. We pray for the refugee and internally displaced population in Bangladesh and ask for them to embrace the love you Jesus have for them. Help them to find their place in society and to be flooded by your grace, generosity, and provision. We ask that every need would be met in Jesus name.

-Finally, we pray for an angelic protection over the borders of Bangladesh and that illegal drugs would not transit through this nation.
