Unleash Heaven's Armies

You and I can unleash heaven's armies by our prayers.  Join us as we continue steadfastly in prayer.

God has given you and I as prayer warriors the ability through intercessory prayer to help in the work of redemption of the lives of others. You and I have a striking role in this process.  By opening our lives to God's Spirit and His work, by diligent intercession for others, we can give God's angel armies access to humanity and to life situations so that they can do their work.

God allows those of us who know Him and have learned the protecting skills of prayer to spread the protection of intercession over our children and our families. Knowledgeable Prayer Warriors stand in regular intercessory prayer for others, pushing back the powers of darkness. Prayer Warriors must become battle conscious. Battle consciousness and effective victories are won by prayer and time spent in God's presence and with His Word.  Experienced Prayer Warriors know well that the chief battlefield lies in their own hearts and lives.

Prayer brings us closer to God and Jesus Christ. Without the Lord Jesus Christ, we have no way to discern the times, to understand spiritual things that are at the very core of our existence. Without the intervention of the Lord, mankind would be completely destroyed.

Finally, the Church is a primary battlefield in the war between God and Satan. It could not help but be a major area of conflict. You see, when Christians join with each other, they multiply their power to defeat the enemy. Unity and agreement among God's children produce a power channel before which no problem can stand:

Matthew 18:19 New International Version (NIV)

19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven."

Since this is so, you would expect a massive Satanic attack against unity among the brethren. Criticism, fault-finding, malicious gossip, and bitter conflict over such things as church offices. the color of the church carpet, or shades of doctrinal interpretation, these or any of a hundred other issues can result in surrender to Satanic attack.

Jesus made it clear that division causes downfall. Nowhere is that more true than in the church. But what can be done when church controversy arises? In Isaiah 62:6, 7, we have the answer:

Isaiah 62:6-7 New International Version (NIV)

6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord,

give yourselves no rest, 7 and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.

PERSISTENT intercession is the healing solution to church division. Agreement in petition produces healing of conflict in the church.  Prayer Warriors on the battlefields - in the earth, the heart, the mind, everyday life, the church - this is God's key to victory. Wherever Satan attacks, there God's battlefield-sensitive warriors, clad in God's own armor, stand up and do prayer battle.  When they do, victories follow.

Praying With Impact

Prayer is the most potent force known to humanity.

Because we have been made partakers in Jesus’ victory over sin and death (1 John 4:4), we have the authority as sons and daughters of God to pray for others, pushing back the darkness of sin and oppression. In prayer, we have a weapon that has “divine power to destroy strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4).

That kind of weaponry—the power of prayer— is something God invites us to use as we seek not only personal transformation but the transformation of the world as well. An intercessor is one who takes up a “burden” that goes far beyond his or her own needs and intentions.

And those who take up the call to intercession come to learn in a deeper way that the sufferings of the present time cannot compare to the joy that will come as God’s purposes unfold. They learn to trust in the Lord, because they have experienced in prayer how infinitely compassionate God is. Intercessors participate in God’s magnificent plan to raise humanity to share in divine life. This insight moves them to engage in a spiritual battle against the forces that seek to destroy God’s plans.

The Letter of James tells us that “The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects” (James 5:16), and there is no one more righteous than Jesus—the most powerful intercessor whoever walked the earth. Martha, the sister of Lazarus, rightly declared, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. And even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you” (John 11:21-22).

The Letter to the Hebrews tells us that because Jesus’ priesthood is eternal, “he is able for all time to save those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them” (7:25). Imagine that: right now, Jesus is in heaven interceding for you, even as he intercedes for the entire world. He also invites us all to join in his priestly intercession so that a mighty flood of prayer will ascend to the Father’s throne.

So ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to pray in union with the mind of God. Take to heart Apostle Paul’s words, “The Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes . . . for the saints according to the will of God” (Romans 8:26-27). And above all, ask God to give you confidence that he hears your prayers and longs to answer the deep needs of those around you.

Prayer and Laying On of Hands

Luke 4:40 New International Version (NIV)

At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness,

and laying his hands on each one, He healed them.

John 5:20 New International Version (NIV)

For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even

greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.

John 14:12 New International Version (NIV)

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing,

and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

2 Timothy 1:6 New International Version (NIV)

(Appeal for Loyalty to Paul and the Gospel)

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
